What is a Relic?: A Relic is a piece of jewellery designed to be worn around your medical devices, changing the appearance of the device without changing the way you use it.
Which glucose monitors are currently supported?: The First Relic has been designed for the FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus. Support for additional glucose monitors is currently in development.
Will you be making Relics for other glucose monitors?: Yes. RELICS is being developed for additional CGM systems, with new compatible pieces planned for future releases. For updates, follow @relics.cgm on Instagram.
What is The First Relic made from?: The First Relic is handcrafted from 925 sterling silver, with selected finishes also available in gold plate.
How does it attach?: The Relic has been designed to fit around the glucose monitor and uses its own attachment system to hold the decorative outer piece securely in place. A full fitting guide is included with every Relic.
Do I need to remove my sensor to attach it?: No. The Relic has been designed so that it can be fitted around your existing sensor.
Are the pieces handmade?: Yes. Each Relic is individually finished using traditional jewellery-making processes.
Can I wear my Relic every day?: Yes. Relics are designed to be worn as part of everyday life, just like the medical device they surround. As with any piece of jewellery, the finish may naturally change with wear over time.
How do I clean my Relic?: Your Relic can be gently cleaned using the polishing cloth provided.
Will sterling silver tarnish?: Sterling silver naturally develops tarnish over time. This is completely normal and can be removed using the polishing cloth supplied with your Relic.
When will my order be shipped?: As RELICS pieces are produced and finished in small quantities, dispatch times may vary between releases.
